Please do not develop a trail along the shore of Murphy's Island. If that is done, it will most likely drive the Bald Eagles away, which would be a shame. The eagles are a treasure to Syracuse.

Legislators and planners - Please ensure that the final path plan takes into account and mitigates for the bald eagle habitat concerns raised in this petition. Work with wildlife biologists and others familiar with the habitat requirements of bald eagles (and other species) in planning opportunities for public access to the recovering lake. Thank-you.

Our national bird, a very important creature to the native Americans that made Onondaga Lake home - the least we can do.

I love the eagles and biking. I don't have to disturb the eagles just for a bike ride. Very short-sighted!

Please carefully consider the consequences of the proposed Murphy's Island trail to our wintering Onondaga Lake Bald Eagle population and vote no to the plan as it currently exists.

Save the wintering eagles roosting area. I love nature trails, but not at the expense of nature

Protection of winter roosts is very important and re-routing the trail away from the roosts in a logical way to have access for people and Bald Eagles.

Please reroute the proposed trail so that Bald Eagles will continue wintering on Onondaga Lake!

Adjustments to the trail route will benefit humans and wildlife, and improve the experience for all. Thank you for taking these concerns into consideration.

It's so important to save as many birds as our world changes. We natural areas to protect the eagles.

Any trail within 2000 feet of the Bald Eagle roost is totally unacceptable and irresponsible idiocy

Please do not fund the extension of the Creekwalk Trail along the shoreline of Murphy's Island which will have an adverse impact on the Bald Eagles roosting there. Please reroute the trail to the mall side of Murphy's Island instead.
