Protect the Onondaga Lake Bald Eagles

There must be a way to preserve the eagles habitat.

Less humans more wildlife.

Let's figure out how to create this trail while ensuring the eagle habitat remains undisturbed. They are too precious and few and need every chance to thrive!!!

The Legislature should not fund the Murphy's Island Trail plan unless the trail route is changed. The proposed trail should be moved to minimize disturbance to wintering Bald Eagles.

An alternate route would be highly advisable, this is a high value resource area

Please do not to place the trail along the shoreline of Murphy's Island. Keep the trail solely along the mall side of Murphy's Island which should provide recreationists with a trail to use while keeping the area safe for use by wintering Bald Eagles that depend on the tall trees and ice-free zones provided by the nearby wastewater treatment plant to sustain themselves during the harsh winter months.

They have finally made a comeback. Let's keep it that way. Find an alternative route that does not disturb them.

Please consider the impact this could have on the birds, specifically bald eagles who depend on the habitat and would potentially be disturbed by the increased pedestrian flow.

Please protect the Bald Eagles nesting area, we are privileged to have them here during our dreary winters. Keep them safe. They are exciting to watch.

The pathway is a great idea, BUT not where the Bald Eagles have been nesting for years. They are or should still be designated as endangered.

Protecting the Bald Eagles is the right thing to do. Keep the loop trail from extending along the shoreline or interior of the island.

Not only is ensuring the eagles health and habitat at Onondaga Lake the right thing to do, but if Syracuse plays its cards right, it could be one of the things that makes Syracuse special, and draws tourism.

I love going to the mall and watching them in the winter

Please do not disturb the habitat of these majestic Bald Eagles roosting on Onondaga Lake. Use the funding instead for raptor conservation.

These birds are finally starting to thrive, why would we want to undo all the progress thus far?!

Please study the impact that the trail extension will have on the wintering Bald Eagles.
