I've only eaten here once, but damn the food is good. Let's keep this place open so I can eat here again.

This has been an ongoing problem. I am NOT an engineer however believe that common sense prevails. I think ther are many ways to help the problem. When I was a young boy before there were all these rule and regulations my father showed me with a very small air bubler how to kick up the sand that has washed out and let the wave carry it back. I know sounds crazy but i can attest to a beach being raised 6 feet in one night. Just like it goes out one night. If things are left the way they are soon a bridge will be needed because Matunuck will become a penninsula with an Island detached. The old timers say this started with the wall at east matunuck/gallilee.

Town of South Kingstown, village of Matunuck , Local and State elected officials, CRMC, patrons of Tara’s and the Ocean Mist and visitors to Matunuck are we willing to lose yet another Matunuck icon? What made Matunuck a favored place to be in 1900 is still ever present. It may look a tad different today but the FEEL is still the same. Think about what happens when you exit off Route 1 to Matunuck Beach Road . . . . something happens to everyone. Not only do you enter the village of Matunuck, you first drive past farm land, then your eye begins to be drawn to the ocean, and you feel a sense of peacefulness complete with no airs. You left all that on Route 1! And we all come to Matunuck for one reason. But we all meet at two places. The Ocean Mist and Tara’s. And they are both long-standing anchors. So I ask? Are you willing to let that go? Are you just going to continue to let Kevin Finnegan go it ALONE? How many calls for help will Kevin have to yell before you get up and help? Make “positive” noise. Give the decision makers SOMETHING to think about. Kevin needs you! Oh and Local and State elected officials . . . . what have you done for me lately?
