Don't let corporations tell Austin to turn the music down. Unless the club is violating the noise ordinance, the hotel has to add their own improvements for managing the sound with insulation.

The Nook is not breaking any ordinances or laws. The Westin decided to build next to them, they are just going to have to suck it up. No way should the Westin win this. This case should be laughed out of court!

If you can't handle the noise, you have no business being in Austin. GTFO.

As a hotel super-chain you cannot Build your hotel in the heart of the entertainment district and not expect entertaining to happen. Downtown business owners have bent over backwards to accommodate everyone, but the downtown area is for entertaining. This is not news to anyone opening any business in downtown Austin. If you do not want noise and loud people around you, stay somewhere else or build somewhere else.

Dont kill the Golden Goose, Westin. No one will stay in a hotel if there is no music scene to visit.

Shouldn't have built it so close to 6th street if they were truely concerned.... the Marriot owns tons of the hotles downtown and in that general area so they were fully aware of the music and loud noise that comes with 6th street.

The Westin knew where they were building. A true friend to dowtown would have gone above and beyond to soundproof that side or otherwise market those rooms accordingly. This isn't right.

the slice gang has to be one of the most dynamic musical groups I've seen come out of the Austin music scene in years. The magic they bring to the stage goes far above, and beyond any level of showmanship that is seen in most musical venues. to hear they're under scrutiny for bringing a true service of diversity to the city of Austin breaks my heart, and I hope that by signing this petition that it helps make an impact necessary to allow them to keep doing what they do best, bringing the love and soul out of the long nights on 6th Street.
