If big business is able to come in and push out the small business owners, then Austin will lose all indivuality and public allure.

I have many friends who come into town for SXSW. I will be informing the that the Westin is NOT music friendly.

The local atmosphere is part of Austin's charm. Makes no sense to want to kill off the beautiful culture that Austin has.

The Nook follows the law while Westin tries to manipulate it. Shame on Westin and its representatives. Stop stripping our city of its music soul.

They tested before they built, the Nook isn't breaking the city ordinance, case closed.

The hotel knew where they're we're building. The club was there first. It is a pity it is too loud for the guests, but too bad. It is the same as if someone builds in a floodplain and is shocked when their house floods, and then whines to the government that it isn't fair.

The Westin spent money to make he noise less when they were building they knew about this before it happened. Go away big buisness and let the Nook continue what makes Austin so great..live music

Who was there first? Not the Westin. Austin is a culture of music and this was apparent when they broke ground. They knew the neighborhood.

Honestly don't care how 'right' the Westin may or may not be. You move into 6th Street (or other musical district), you must accept the risks of loud music. Don't do this, expect the wrath of Austin to descend upon you. Please respect the city and culture. Westin- if you want to become another Uber, you're on the right track!

If you build on 6th you should expect the noise! They brought this on themselves.

Much of austin has already been affected. Don't let the MUSIC CAPITOL OF THE WORLD be controlled by money hungry corporations
