The Westin is owned by White Lodging - during my time working in hotels downtown they built another hotel right next to ours. Funny thing is - the noise from their construction caused the exact same issues they are complaining about for us. However, they were little to no help when we approached them and actually caused noise outside of their permitted hours. Seems pretty hypocritical to me.

Westinghouse needs to get there panties out of there asses. It's sixth street for Christ sake. There are far more loud venues than just the nook.

Small business owners need all the help they can get to win over a mega company that has nothing to lose.

So they can throw their own party with a DJ, but not the bars that have been there for quite some time?

The nook is a cultural experience, not the Westin.

Leave Austin music scene alone. If the Westin doesn't like it the can sell the property to another organization that has an open mind.

This is ridiculous and the Westin is completely at fault for not considering the noise coming from the busiest street in the live music capital of the world.

Local business is what drives an economy. Especially in a unique district such as 6th Street entertainment district. Don't let big corporations bully the little guy that works hard for their livelihood.
