Don't build a hotel Dt if you don't want noise. The Nook was there first. The hotel was well aware of the sound.

Shame on the Hotel! I will never stay there. They should have considered this before they built there!

Poor business, poor community relations. Maybe the hotel should have invested more in sound proofing if they were going to set up shop in the "live music capital of the world"

Don't put your hotel right next to the main strip in the live music capitol of the WORLD and then complain about the music. Poor judgement and planning and nobody is at fault but themselves.

If anything, the hotel should move. If you don't like loud noises....don't move into an entertainment district. Isn't that business 101? For shame, Westin.

Proper zoning and ordinances should protect businesses from this harassment. These ordinances and districts were in place before the Westin built a structure. The burden of soundproofing should fall on new structures that are near legally permitted entertainment venues and any complaints that arise from legal activity should be ignored.
I did not move to Austin for international chains and corporations. Local businesses are the reason for tourism not franchises and corporations. Protect them by standing with the existing ordinances that other businesses have been able to flourish with for years.

Stop being bad neighbors. It's your fault for not properly sound-proofing your hotel when you built it next to established music venues.

I was born and raised in Austin. I love this city, but it's so sad to see do many greedy people trying to change it. It has to stop!

The Westin came to Austin because of the things - like live music - that they are now trying to shut down. Hypocrisy at its worst.

Don't let a giant corporate entity sidestep its own mistakes. They screwed up construction so sue the contractor or the Architect for not including proper soundproofing, not the venues that were there before you.
