Live music is what makes Austin, Austin. It's ridiculous that a place moves in and tries to change an existing venue. If you wanted quiet you should have bought property somewhere else.

The Westin moved into their location knowing they moved into downtown Austin and also next to a live music venue. Shame on them for suing!

Please do something worth while for the city before it goes down the drain. Stop these outsiders pushing locals around with their big bucks.

They knew what they were getting into and have been profiting off the location and fame of 6th st. They keep their mouths shut when SXSW and ACL are in town because they're making big bucks!!! Get they hell out of Austin if you don't like it, we never wanted you here anyways!!!

The Westin's suit needs to be stopped for the hotel's own good. For if you're going to visit and enjoy a city with s reputation as a live music venue, you must tolerate a certain degree of noise as a fact of life. By shutting down the "noise," you shut down the artists. And by shutting down the artists, you lose your guests' very motivation to visit! Show some sense, Westin!

What did the Westin expect? They knew very well that it was going to be noisey. It'd be like buying a house that has a backyard backing up to a highway and suing the Department of Transportation because it's loud all night. This is a classic case of bullying.
