As an alumni of NHS and someone who is Native (Shoshone), I do not find the mascot racist towards Natives. There are many other team names I could say have a negative connotation, but this one? Not at all.

As per the professional sports have considered the only Indian symbol considered racist is Redskins which is listed as a derogatory name in the dictionary.
A sad thing with cancel culture were does it end.
