Italian, African Americans, Chinese, Germans and all other ethnic groups have played a very important role in shaping this nation and so have the Indians. There is nothing crude nor vulgar regarding our mascot, The Napanee Indian. Let this heritage stand.

A mascot is chosen to be honored, not to be dishonored. These people who want to remove the mascot because they have issues are the ones who would be dishonoring the Napa High Indian...and dishonoring the people who have honored the Napa High Indian for 120 years. The School Board needs to be strong (like the Indian) and not fold to those who want to force their dishonoring opinions on the rest of us!

i've talked to a few of my friend an ask them if they are offended by our mascot,they all laughed an ask if any one has any thing to do any more than making problems out of nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Napa High Indian Symbol is one of integrity, honor, dignity, respect, great character to live up to. What specifically is disrespectful about that? As a student at Napa High I learned honor and respect, As adult I am proud to be a Napa High Indian. Class of 1964

120 years of respect shown by students and alumni of Napa High School for the Native American should NOT be erased! The student body has never used a degrading chant, nor has it ridiculed the mascot in any way. Instead, it has fostered respect and honor for the native heritage of our country, and specifically for our home valley. Do not disrespect this heritage by changing the mascot.

Please keep this symbol of our Indian. My late dad graduated from this High School in 1943 and I graduated in 1969 and still live in Napa.
