I went to VHS, but my kids go to NHS. Growing up and currently I find the Indian stands for honor, and pride. It also represents the history of the Napa Valley (Napa is an Indian word) as we had the Wapo Indians in the valley before the Europeans came to the area.

The Indian is someone I took pride in representing as a napa high student. I would hate to see our mascot for decades disappear in fear of it participating in "racism". Once and Indian, always an Indian.

I am a NHS grad from 1978 and I am also part Cherokee Indian. I have no problem with the Indian mascot. I was and still am proud to be an Indian. Tell those liberal wimps to move along and mind their own business.
