This is crazy I remember having pride in being a Napa Indian , pride in my school , it's not offensive but I'm sure somebody can always find a reason to be offended by everything

My Dad was a Napa High School Alumni and he supported Napa High Indians until the day he died. The Mascot represents the team perfectly - they are strong - they are proud & they are resiliant

On top of being ridiculous, the school district can't afford the cost of such a change.

As a 1964 graduate of Napa High School I am appalled that some politically correct liberals can come along and change our mascot that we have had for 120 years.

Class of 1986. Don't give in to the terrorists from San Francisco and Vallejo. It's our town and our beloved, respected mascot. Leave it alone.

Do not change the mascot. If it bothered the Indians then why wasn't a different mascot given. Do not change.

There is nothing demeaning about the Napa Indian mascot. As one who has First Nations blood in my heritage, and a former student, I find great pride in both Napa, Napa High and our mascot. Don't change it.

Absolutely ridiculous. Does anyone realize the cost of changing the logo for a school. It's enormous. Leave it alone. Pretty sure there are way more important things to spend the money on! This PC bull has gone way too far! Go Napa Indians!

I am writing in support of myself, my family, my friends...all Napa Indians. And for my children's, who are proud of the stories of being a Napa Indian. And for my friends of strong Native American heritage that love to hear of the pride Napa has for their history and for their schools. My daughters best friends are strong members of the Pomo tribe, so I spoke with these girls, along with the elders of the tribe, who are very involved, educated, and passionate about their heritage. I asked them if they found our Napa history offensive. And they told me the find it laughable that a name like "Indian" is seen as disrespect. They were able to discuss ACTUAL disrespectful images and names however....the Indian not being one. They suggested we start viewing it as a sign of respect of those that were in Napa long before us.
