As a 1964 graduate of Napa High School, I view the Napa Indian mascot as symbol of unity that has consistently been presented in a respectful manner. Retain it as is.

Being a Napa Indian gives recognition to the natives that inhabited our valley long before we did. It is in their honor we stand as Indians.

I am proud to have been an Indian and know in my mind and my heart that being an Indian is a very good thing. There never has been anything derogatory meant by the Mascot being an Indian, only proud students.

There is no good reason to do that. Graduates of Napa High with actual Indian blood are for keeping the mascot. A handful of outsiders are the key opponents. Do we let outsiders run, make that ruin, our community?
