Too high of cost to reissue new supplies with new mascot. Money is better spent on education improvements & supplies. A small number of people should not dictate policy

Why would you want to take this History away from Napa?? To much has already been taken some by nature and some by humans. This is one of the things Napa and Napa High School are known by, what people want to come back to. Don't ruin it!! Napa Indian should remain! There is a lot of History with the Napa High Indians!!

Class of 1969 This is an icon that has been in existence for 120 years. It has always been an idea of respect. Why change it for a few that have the wrong idea about it.

Have talked to 2 different INDIAN TRIBAL communities re. Their opinion of explanation for this change====response is "Focus should be 'Spend Time and Money on Students and much needed School Supplies' ".

The school mascot name "INDIAN" is about as generic as any mascot name could be. The students who attended there are very proudful of their school days in Napa as is the INDIAN nation of their heritage. The "INDIAN HEAD" floor tile represents considerable respect. In fact, it so so revered that any student who stepped on that representation had to expect discipline from other students. The name NAPA INDIANS is TOTAL RESPECT.

I'm a graduate of 1963 and a native Napan myself as are my children and some of my grandchildren. The Indian is on my class ring and a part of every game and event ever attended for the four years at Napa High. The Indian represented, courage, honor, wisdom, and knowledge of all who attended Napa High. It would be a shame to remove such a fine tradition as our Napa High Indian. We should rise above political correctness which is nothing more than foolishness of a few and stand strong as Napans.

Proud to be an Indian both an American and a Napa High Indian class of 1988. The Wappo Tribe has a history in Napa, speaks to our history.

Class of 2005! I thought this was voted on when I was still around and shut down. Too much history and pride to change it. Keep the Mascot!
