The Napa Indian Mascot is a the namesake of the school the city and the County of Napa. To say the symbol my be offensive to some people is PC run a muck, Armijo High had the good sense to reject this same group of cottage industry grifters, Lets hope the Napa School board has the courage of the Napa High's Mascot symbol and reject this attack on our proud Indian Heritage.

I neve once saw or heard anything 'racist or negative'; about our Napa Indian Mascot! Once an Indian, always an Indian! A respected sybmol of our Native Americans, strength & perserverance!

The removal of The Napa Indian Mascot from our beautiful Napa High School building will break the hearts of thousand of students who have grown through adulthood, with extremely fond memories of the school spirit that focused upon the famous Logo in the foyer of the building. Removing it will hurt many more than just the two people who raised the issue...the issue has become the past students, who attended the school issue with just walking away from this ridiculous request.

We should not get rid of the Napa Indian as this represents Napa Valley heritage since the 1900s and before. The Napa Valley Indians is our history as these Indians founded the Napa Valley.

I graduated Napa High School in the class of 1963 and I am still very proud to honor the Napa Indians and our mascot. It has a very long history and should never be replaced. I have never left Napa since moving here in 1959 and I still live here. Thank you for your consideration of our feelings.

Being a "surrogate grandmother" to a very bright Napa High graduate, I know how much she values Napa High and its traditions! Carry on proudly with the Napa Indian, a "complimentary signature" to Napa Valley's heritage!
