I'd love to hear the non-fiscal reasonings behind why the city thinks this is a problem. None of the parties involved have issue with the arrangement, the family has stated they are willing to comply but the laws are unclear... Why not offer them giluidance rather than the boot. Living with less is sociologically and environmentally responsible, and they should be commended and helped in their desire to do so. While both are important in out society, life is about more than rules and money. We would all do well to remember that.

Best of luck! I have spent a lot of time researching tiny homes, and unfortunately zoning is the only thing keeping me from it. I am hoping that compromises can be found going forward.

I understand zoning and ordinances. I think since this is going to be a new way of living for many people in the future, this needs to be addressed properly
They are not placing them selves on a 1/4 acre lot that already has a house. They are on a property that had 20 acres. Give them a temporary license to live on the property and pay taxes. Etc.... They can pay the fee to the township yearly . Until your township figures this out, don't shut the door on them. If it looked like an RV. They could have it on the property

Please let this family stay on this more-than-enough-room property of their friends. Please allow their friends the privilege of being generous to others. It's not harming anyone. Was this really the intent of the law? At least give them more time to find another solution if you won't make an exception or review and revise this law.

I've lived in a tiny 136sqft tiny house for 6 years.Other areas in the country are seeing fit to allow them.
Seems like more than enough land for 2 houses.
Figure out a way.
