Save the tiny house.

Please don't evict this family. I would live in a tiny home if I could afford one. It is very difficult to find affordable land to live on; most RV parks won't accept them. Please! This is a pastor's family. Thank you and God bless you.

At the very least, as an interim measure, a waiver should be considered in this instance. Not personally knowing why a 20 acre property is not allowed what amounts to a guesthouse, I can't "demand" the zoning language be changed, but from afar the 8/1 removal requirement seems excessive.

When things settle down for you, I would love to see the inside of this beautiful tiny home you have built! You are an inspiration to us all! Praying that everything goes smoothly and calmly so that you can continue to bless Ripon with your work as a Pastor there. Your kids are very blessed to have you both as parents as well. I agree with the smiths no reason why they cant live in their tiny home on land what is the world coming to for god sakes they came all the way from Tucson, Arizona be glad they want to live here. If you cant see it from the road no worries about anything let people live their lives. Good luck smiths! :)

Let them stay, they are harming no one. The tiny house is beautiful and certainly doesn't detract from the neighborhood. Also it is on wheels, so can not be classed as a permanent residence by the town ordinance.

Hope your dreams of living tiny come true. Wisconsin is beautiful but sometimes they don't know their ass from their elbow.

This seems to be a way of making a mountain out if a mole hill. In what is this house a threat to the community? How does the law serve the community in this situation? So if the house is deeded onto its own property will that suffice to make it "legal?" How is the current law as it is written serving the people of Ripon?

Yes! These tiny houses are architecturally so creative and an incredible method of reducing your carbon footprint! Thumbs up to this family for making one step forward in an ecologically-conscious mentality of living.

This is a Pastor who is trying to do good for his community, his family, and the owner of the property, by playing by the rules, with nothing but POSITIVE results all the way around. He has built a lovely tiny home that is NOT an eyesore, nor a problem to anyone, except the town for some reason. With all that's going on in the world right now, this kind of "fight" just seems RIDICULOUS to me! I am hoping to have my own tiny home someday, and am SO discouraged by some of the attitudes regarding them. I wish Jessica and Adam Smith well and will keep them in my prayers during this time so they can continue to live the honest and downsized life they have chosen so that Pastor Adam can spread some " obviously needed love" in Ripon for years to come. Keep the faith Smith family. God will provide, and open some closed minds with continued prayer. Please keep us all posted. Blessings to you!

People should be able to live in a tiny house if they so choose to. It isn't hurting anyone else. I would think it is more cost effective as well.

People should be able to live how they want to live.

There is enough property there to allow a tiny house. If the home owners pay property taxes and homeowners insurance they should be allowed to stay.

Create a position to help people find ways to live in tiny homes

Tiny houses are the wave of the future. Ripon needs to leave this house where it is, grant a variance, and consider changing their ordinance.

To Ripon I say... Work with them...don't fight.

I feel they should be allowed to stay. How is that different than if they were living in a camper?
