There have been a lot of people that have been to dances at the music hall and there would be many more if advertised. There is money to be made there.

Hello, It saddens me to hear this news. This place has brought me many happy memories over the years. Ive met people by attending the diamond dances here, who are unlike anyone else i have ever met, so kind and caring. The diamomd dances held her create a welcoming feeling for anyone to attend. I found myself at a very low point in my life and decided to attend a dance here, i left early because i still felt down.... But somethig amazing happened. People at the dance noticed i had slipped out and found me and kept me company. No where else in my life have i ever found a place full of people who share a passion for dance and music but also for their fellow dancers. I think it would be ashamed to lose such a positive space in the community.

The Saratoga Music Hall has been a big part of my overall happiness and a great way for me to express my love for music and dance. I will fight for it!

In 1994, when the Flurry Festival needed to find a new venue at the last minute, we chose Saratoga because of the wonderful wood floor and beauty of the historical Music Hall. Many people come from all over North America to dance in this building. I am disappointed that Saratoga made this decision with so little advance warning. It's obvious they wanted to make the decision before the public had a chance to get organized. The statements the City made that the Music Hall was created in 1993 is an outright lie. The space has been in use since 1871, and in its current form since 1933. The only change in 1993 was change the name from Town Hall Theater to Saratoga Music Hall. Sham, shame on the elected officials ho made this decision

I was in musicals on this stage growing up. I swing danced on the floor to a live band playing. This space should be saved.

Please don't close!! My husband and I have great memories dancing there. Now that I'm a ice duty in the military I won't be able to make new memories if you close. Please stay open.

We have often enjoyed the Friday Night Swing Dances. They provide a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a night out in Saratoga.

Please don't do this. The Diamond Dances are the best. My wife and I loved dancing there when we lived in the area. Keep the history!!!

The Music Hall is an irreplaceable, historic venue for the arts and it would be down right shameful to use it as office space.

This establishment is a place for the arts, in a town for the arts. The idea that a place for dance would be torn down for offices is both ignorant and asinine.

Not sure why this says I am from Schenectady. I live in Saratoga County and routinely do business in Saratoga Springs and have been in involved in dance organizing and searching for good dance venues.... This hall is great!

This is a great space for dancing and music and it would be such a shame to dishonor the history. It would be better utilized for dancing if the pricing to use it were more reasonable. So happy that the Flurry Festival can use it in 2017. Would love to see the local Saratoga Contradance be able to use it on a monthly basis. Who knows where that would go if given a foothold.

Attending the dance events taught my children how to act around adults and that it was possible to have fun without having to drink or do drugs.
