absolutely! The statements the City made that the Music Hall was created in 1993 is an outright lie. The space has been in use since 1871, and in its current form since 1933. The only change in 1993 was change the name from Town Hall Theater to Saratoga Music Hall.

I was perplexed to read that the Hall opened in 1993! Please change the petition to correct this error per the comment made by Paul Rosenberg in the comments section.

As a former resident of the capitol region dancing in the area gave me a sense of community. Dancing introduced me to some really wonderful people and having a place to dance was a luxury many people take for granted. For what it's worth I hope my signature and comment can remind people of the bonds they formed from this venue.

As with many others, I have come to dance at the music hall. It is a beautiful building with beautiful floors. The only thing it needs is air conditioning and a management who loves it as much as the people who attend the events there.

I learned to dance and developed a lifelong passion for it at the Diamond Dance. Losing the Music Hall would mean losing the setting for years of fond memories and one of the most fun and unique things to do in the Saratoga area.

My daughters have enjoyed the dances here almost every month for years. It would be incredibly sad to lose this, and a disappointment to see a place of the arts sacrificed for offices.

The Saratoga Music Hall is a unique space, usable for a variety of activities. I have been to many events and performances there over the years - music, dance, theatre, receptions, etc - its a community asset that should be actively used, not converted to offices...
