Don’t be morons and get rid of something these kids look at as an escape to be themselves and be happy. This program has helped my daughter and a few of her friends build confidence with everyday social difficulties. Not to mention fire a man that has put his heart and soul into a program for these kids. Smarten up will you and stop being ignorant.

As mom of a theatre girl, the idea of this is astonishing to me. Theatre, like the other arts should be essential. It has given my daughter confidence, taught her to work for things she wants and helped her handle disappointment with grace.

School should be a place where everyone can be comfortable and excited to go to everyday of the week, especially considering they spend 3/4 of the year there. Removing masquerades/theater would not only effect a whole group of kids but it would just make school seem more like a prison than a place for choice and creativity. The person the student becomes through self expression and art will always far outweigh the senseless test scores we’re required to hit every year. Find a balance; have your test goals to reach, but stay considerate of all the children involved. It’s a school at the end of the day. We SHOULD be catering to them. Hal you

I strongly believe there has to be another way to deal with the money shortfall. For some children the "Arts" is all they have. Please keep in mind.... not all children are interested in sports.

It would be an absolute shame to see this go. Being in the theater program made my senior year the best year of high school I had. Don’t rob these kids of this.
