Mt Hope Theater saved my life, take money from sports that cause lifelong head injuries and put it to people finding themselves and learning how to communicate.

Theatre is important for so much more than just performance. It fosters emotional understanding and wellbeing, confidence, public speaking, communication, responsibility, problem solving, team work, following directions, and so much more. It is valuable in practically any career path that they may follow.

My daughters were both in Theatre at MHHS. They both went to use the skills they learned by performing in community theater shows, directing productions and as musical performers. Arts are not the ugly step sisters of high school courses. They are just as important as english, math, foreign languages, etc. Please step back and think about what you are taking away from our Bristol & Warren students

As a former Co-President of the Masqueraders I can’t help but be insulted by this. Did they even attempt to get grants or find alternate things that are less essential to the wellbeing of students. Thousands of students have felt at home in that department. Former teachers taught us such valuable lessons and gave us a safe space to express ourselves. This cannot stand

Keep the arts going and theater provides so many opportunities for leadership, hands-on skills development, expression, creativity, community, and project management (yup, even in middle school). Keep it open!!

I think it's so ridiculous that the first thing that goes on the choppinh block when schools are under funded is the theater and music programs when it's been proven time and time again that those programs improve intelligence. But let's keep all of the sporting programs so we can keep raising brainless people.

The theater program i participated in during high school was invaluable in shaping me into who I am today. I'd hate to see another young person not get this opportunity
