Some of my best memories were in this department and I wasn’t even a “theater kid”. This needs to be a part of future generations’ high school experiences.

Mt. Hope Theatre was an integral part of my personal and professional development. It is one of the most valuable education experiences I have, and taking that opportunity away from the students of Bristol/Warren regional schools is a detriment to the both students and the larger local community.

The Theatre program is so very important for so many reasons to so many of us. One of the most important reasons is it kids a place to go that is off the street, a place where they are safe and they can be themselves. We cannot let this program get cut, it would mean so much more than just no plays! Please sign, to help save!

Never did theatre, but I went to a couple of the shows when I was in high school and every single one was great. Theatre for Mount Hope High School is one of the major staples of extra curricular activities. Kids love doing theatre and there should be no reason to take that away from them.

Why don't you cut one of the 10 other sports programs at the school we don't need a bunch of sports just 1 sport is fine why would you cut something unique and enriching the lives such as theater which provided me a job in the entertainment industry working on set construction for television shows for the last 20 years thanks to Mount Hope high school Cutting the arts is the absolute last thing you should ever do there is so much more you can cut in a school like the abundance of Sports related activities that breeds bullies and jocks. Theater is something that benefits the community as a whole makes people a better person.

The theater program at my high school and in my college saved my life. The friendships and experiences I had helped me grow as an adult way more than any other program I was involved in. If you take away that chance for someone else, you could be taking a piece of their future away and part of who they are. Students NEED the arts, especially in the world we are currently in where people need an escape from the craziness around us. If you take away what could be someone’s only escape, who knows what may happen.

Theatre is such an important art that needs to be continued although I did not go to this school but I was in the program through my own school for years. It is important and it’s a way for some to escape, and express themselves.
