only realised it was closed this weekend when on a trip back home to Staffs and looking for somewhere nice to go to for lunch. Shame it's not open. Was a lovely place and my second choice venue wasn't as good.

I have been going to this pub since the age of 8 and have grown up in the surrounding area, with the pub a heart of our village. I would be more than gutted to see it turned into anything other than a pub! In this modern day and age charng happens so fast but yet we don't stop to think about what that change will erase from our beautiful country. I consider the Menyell a monument, an iconic location that has created many momories for many people all across the world. Changing this pub would be like erasing history!
