Where have enough apartment complexes. We do not have enough places to actually live life. Life is about experiences and wonders. Enough of these have already been destroyed. If you knock this building down the investment should be a bigger and better Masquerade. Not an apartment complex.

The Masquerade has been a huge part of my life for over a decade and I have so many memories there. I know that this venue still has so much to offer the community and it shouldn't be okay to tear it down for yet another housing complex. There's enough of those and not enough places to go and have a safe and fun environment.

The Masquerade is my favorite venue in the city, and the building itself is such a unique piece of history. To tear it down and replace it with apartment buildings is just awful. Please reconsider.

I had my first ever concert here. And I've had so many other memories since then. To tear down this venue would be a shame and break everyone's heart.

The article says the building will "retain elements" of the original mill, but it's going to be turned into office space or apartments or something. "Retain elements" is code for "We will still offer some tenants stone walls & high-beam ceilings, but we can still subdivide & put up sheetrock." And if it's offices or apartments, then the public will no longer have access to this fabulous, historic building. If Masquerade has to get the boot, the least they could do is make it a restaurant again. That pizza was GOOD. But any other restaurant could move in. Maybe 3 restaurants. You could call them, I don't know, Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory.

I really hope this development doesn't forever change the cultural impact the Masquerade has had on the O4W neighborhood. Tearing it down, suspending it's business, or changing it beyond recognition is not in any way honoring this ATL staple. I really hope this business deal keeps fans, neighbors, and local Atlanta bands in mind. And I hope any changes are for the better and include the people that have made this spot so heavenly - us.

The Masquerade is my favorite venue in the world. My favorite artists play there and without The Masquerade l, concerts will never be the same.
