This venue has seen many great bands and holds a lot of great memories for a lot of people. Personality I think it would just be a waste to turn it in to apartments.

I've been coming here since I was 16 years old, and at 24 now, it would be such a same to see this wonderful venue be destroyed for a "luxury" complex.

I've been coming here since I was at least 13 years old, now being 20, I can't imagine not going to the Masquerade at least once or twice a year to see some of my favorite bands. You can't take the experience from us!

This venue is a hope and passage for all upcoming band/artists in any scene opportunity is given here; Even larger bands love to place here for he atmosphere- I believe Atlanta would loose a large gift too the music community.

This city doesn't just need places for people to live it needs a reason for people to live here and places that provide entertainment like the masquerade need to stay to attract people to Atlanta

Don't sell out. Even moving the masquerade to a different building/location kinda makes me feel like it won't have the same homey backyard party feel and it'll turn into a bunch of rules and regulations. I love the masquerade. I hate how you guys won't let me stand on the stairs though. Either way, please please please don't do this to us. I remember back in the day I went to see Sonny Moore before he went all mainstream and ICP were playing and I was being harassed by some of their 'followers' or whatever out on the smoking deck and the owner and his wife came out to talk to me and gave me a little tour. I was like 13 in skinnies and the juggahoes didn't take to kindly to that, lol. Either way. It's a homey feel and I love the place and am very thankful for my experiences there.

Replacing a historic and iconic venue of the Atlanta music scene for an apartment complex? Isn't there enough new apartment complexes already? If you were truly smart, you would invest in improving the Masquerade rather than tearing down this artifact & relic of historical and cultural importance, so that past, present, and future generations of musicians, artists, and event-goers alike may experience this wonderfully unique venue in all its glory.
