My youngest son who is at Lasalle will drop out of band if the spot is taken over by this teacher...we may even relocate him to another high school. I would hate to see this effect the wonderful band program Riley has had all these years, because of the teachers.

As a parent of a former Riley band students, I can not say enough about the dedication and leadership shown by Mr. Balog and Mr. Gorman to the kids participating in the band program at Riley. Please keep them as band directors!

Howard never had the energy needed for a pep band when I had her.

No band should fall under because of a director. High schools need marching bands!

At least bring someone in who will respect Riley's long standing traditions! Linda Howard will not.

Mr. Balog and Mr. Gorman are the best men for the job. To even think about replacing them with Mrs. Howard is disrespectful to the hard work and dedication these men have shown our Riley Wildcats.
I am offended as a Riley Alumni that this is even up for question.

This is crazy! She was a subpar teacher back when I was at Riley. I would often be forced to play in orchestra as a percussionist and her level of organization and professionalism was definitely lacking.

Riley High School had such great spirit while I attended. Part of this was because of the energy that the band brought to the school.

Mr. Balog and Mr. Goreman are the best and were back even when I was in their band there is no such thing as a replacement. Please don't be that stupid to ruin such a good thing.

Linda Howard is incompetent. The Riley students (and all the students of SBCSC) deserve better. The school administration should be ashamed of themselves for keeping her as an employee and shuffling her to other schools to ruin their programs.
The Marching Wildcats are wonderful!!

I had both my son & daughter under the leadership of Balog and Gorman for 6 yrs and 6 yrs prior at Jackson. There is and was such respect for them from both students and parents. They are the best at their profession. To take that away would be a travesty! They are truly admired for their leadership and management of these students. Please! Totally keep them both as directors! I would sign anything in favor of them. Thank You!

Both of my kids marched for Concord (I went to Riley) and I understand fully the benefits of marching band and good directors. If this switch will cause kids to quit, then it must not happen, period.
