This is ridiculous. She is the orchestra director not a BAND director. She knows nothing about marching band nor does she really know anything about orchestra. With her the band that has brought home gold since my sophomore year of high school will suffer to the point where the whole program will be shut down. PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS WOMAN TAKE OVER! If Mr Balog needs to leave then Mr Gorman should take his place.

I am a Marching Wildcat alumni class of 2002. Please do not let Mrs. Howard lead the band. I agree thus would be detrimental to it's success.

Please do not get rid of Mr. Gorman. He does a wonderful job at direacting the marching band. I would not be happy if you hire that lady. My daughter that is in 7th grade now is looking forward to being in the marching band at Riley in the fall 2016 with Mr. Gorman direacting the Riley marching band.

if there is not appropriate and qualified leadership the band will not be successful. Just because Howard can play a french horn does not make her a marching band director

As a former section leader of this band, I can say first hand that Balog and Gorman are the best at what they do. They both bring in different skills and worked together tremendously to put our band to the top. Their leadership skills and general knowledge alone are enough reasons to leave this band be. Go Wildcats!

We have always had one of the best marching bands in town. Without it, sporting events for Riley would become much less exciting to attend.

Don't understand why you would change something that has been proven to be successful. There is definitely other programs that could use better leadership at Riley, but band is not one of them.

As a riley alumni , former violinist and colorguard , i feel band should stay as is. They got their reputation through the hard work and dedication of balog and gorman. And it should not be changed in any way shape or form !

I'm a junior in band right now, and if Gorman and balog leave, so will I. They are two of the best teachers I've ever had. I have nothing against ms. Howard but I know that mr. Gorman and mr. Balog don't need help from a third director. They've created a legacy at Riley

As a parent of a former Riley band student, I can not say enough about the dedication and leadership shown by Mr. Balog and Mr. Gorman to the kids participating in the band program at Riley. Please keep them as band directors!

Why would we change what is working just fine. Most of the time when a change is made its not always a good thing and doesn't work well.
