Gorman and Balog are awesome band instructors. They should continue with this program. Riley will not be the same without them. I have had two children blessed with their knowledge and compassion for the band program.

Mr. Balog and Mr. Gorman have been involved with my band experiences and my brothers for a combined 14 years. I have never seen a better team than these two wonderful band directors and if they leave because of a third band director, the whole band will fall apart. We will lose our consecutive golds from ISSMA that we have worked very hard for. If these two band directors leave, our entire band family will fall apart and none of the current, past, or future band students want this. We have worked so well with these two wonderful people and nothing bad has ever happened. This band wants it not just for the sake of us, but also the sake of the people who enjoy watching us perform and always come complimenting us after our shows and concerts. This band has come so far and i am very proud of all of our accomplishments. I wouldn't want to see this band go downhill. I vote that we just leave the band to Mr. Gorman and Mr. Balog until one of them leaves, then we can find an experienced band director that ours agree to work with.

I think this school should stay open as being part of Clay's marching band.

Expecting best-in-class results with less than best personnel is a recipe for failure. Sneaking directors in the back door is shady.

I spent a total of 8 years playing under both directors, so to say that they made up a significant portion of my school experience would be an understatement. I hold both of these men in high regards, and don't want to see their Blood, Sweat, and Tears go to waste. Band practice was one thing that could always Make Me Smile. It was amazing to be part of Something bigger than myself........Aint No Mountain.

One band one sound, that means the directors too! Without our wonderful directors we wouldn't be where we are today, they're one of the main reasons why people stay apart of this band.

I hold Mr Gorman and Mr Balog in the HIGHEST regard. They have made Riley marching band the premier high school band in the area. Please do NOT change what is NOT BROKEN

Our 3 sons followed Mr. Gorman to Riley from Grade School and Middle School. We have been members of the Wildcat Band Family for nine years and have witnessed numerous accomplishments and worked hard to support this outstanding program and these two exceptional band directors. Pride of the South Side!

Mr. Gorman and Mr. Balog cultivated my love of music and are irreplaceable assets to Riley High School. I believe that only Mr. Gorman and Mr. Balog can maintain Riley's reputation as a great band program. I have too many great memories as a member to sit idly by and watch leadership change hands. These two men have inspired a generation of musicians to continue in their musical education and that is not something that can be easily replaced.

Dan Balog and Jeff Gorman had all three of our children in band when they attended Riley. They are outstanding teachers, band directors and role models. Prior to today I had never heard of Linda Howard so I asked my sons what they could tell me about her. Suffice it to say that no positive comments were shared with me. Unless it's a plus that orchestra students are honing their video game skills when they're in her class. I wholeheartedly endorse this petition and urge Riley's administration to do the right thing: restore Dan and Jeff to their rightful and well-deserved positions.

WAs she the orchestra director? If so she was the reason my daughter gave up the violin after 5 years because she was going to be the director at Riley too. My daughter had had enough of her leadership.
