I am not a boater, but boating is what makes Cape Coral so attractive to residents. Remove the obsolete lock, save Manatee lives, and make boating here more trouble-free!

Why is Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation a petitioner? Their position is 180 degrees from their mission statement. We should be asking them for an explanation as to why they support killing Manatees? We should be asking them for an explanation.

After 7 months of having the lock open, the mangroves are as healthy on the west side as the east side. NO NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT. REMOVE THE LOCK.
