It is ridiculous to eliminate the trees to address the problem of broken and uneven pavement. The parking lots should be raised with fill and then repaved.

Remove the cars, not the trees.

Leave the healthy and non-damaging trees alone.

Only cut the damaged trees. It takes decades for these trees to grow to this size. Every one you cut you should plant 10 seedlings!

The trees were here long before the asphalt parking. Build another parking structure above the park. Demolished the asphalt over the tree roots and let the trees thrive. Replace the asphalt with grass and make it more of a park environment.

Do limited pruning and manage the trees. The parking lot will survive

Please save the trees. We need them for shade and fresh air and to prevent flooding.

If you can't save them all, try to save as many as possible. And if you do have to remove a tree or a big branch, be sure to give the wood to an artist, to make bowls with. This is mahogany!

These trees are more valuable in the ground than in board feet. They provide oxygen, cooling to the planet, homes for animals, shade for people and a place to gather, just to name a few reasons! Please DO NOT take these trees from the park. Emmy Erickson

Please preserve these beautiful, mature trees. They add so much to the island landscape. They help cool the air and shade the earth below. What is a park without trees? Not a place to gather and linger.

It would be devastating to remove these trees. The trees are the lungs of the earth. Remember that. I wonder who would be the recipient of the Wood, (which is valuable) if these beautiful trees are cut. I smell a rat.
