We sit under these trees all the time for shade. Honoka’a park needs more trees not less.

I am from Honoka’a and I am signing because we need to save the trees. Stop cutting all the trees down in our parks. Take care of what we have and upkeep the playground and bleachers. We need the shade.

The park is used in so many different ways, sporting events all year round, community members exercising by walking the different paths and track, kids playing at the park, and families have picnics on random days. These trees provide much needed shade throughout the entire area without them there is ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER SHADED AREAS. How would you compensate for it? This along with the other many reasons is why I say don’t cut the trees down. (Resident of honokaa for 30+ years)
