Given the LOS rowing team's performance and capabilities (first ever state school to qualify for the Henley regatta) it would be a real shame to stop this acitivity

I am absolutely appalled by the Governors' decision in spite of the fact that the funds were made available by the Support Group for the year 2017/18. It is a disgrace and I am very disappointed with the School.

This seems like such an irrational decision in view of the fact that the support group had raised sufficient funds for the year.
My son in second form was looking forward to and has thoroughly enjoyed this last term of rowing. It's a real shame to think he may not have the opportunity to continue and his brother in first form will not be able to participate in the rowing at all.

The funds are there for another year, so what's the rush to close it ?. within that year we can organise the funds to keep it going in the long-term
