I believed the Olympic pledge of 2012 - that there would be a legacy of sport for all. PLease don't disgrace yourselves by letring down this generation only five years later. Your boys and girls have the same potential as every other public school child who rows on this river. Talent in sport, art, or anything else is NOT distributed by class or income. Don't let down the kids who can excel in a sport this countey leada the world in. Please don't be the person who takes that decision. Sarah Mower

Please keep the boat club. It's such a great activity for the boys.

This has made a real difference to the quality of life of my nephew and given him confidence and a level of maturity I didn't have at his age..

Rowing is a very important part of my life and i enjoy reorienting the school. I am sad that it might be stopping.

It is sad to hear that I may never be able to row at my school. Please listen to your students!

Teamwork, exercise, discipline, all coming together in rowing as few sports can. Please reconsider to keep it going on a year by year format, dependent on funds continuing.

Please allow the parents to use the funds they have to run the club for the next academic year - this club has made such a difference to my son's sense of self worth. No other sport has ever or will ever give him the same.

This is totally unacceptable! I am seriously considering moving Daniel to another school. I rowed for my country, this was one of the attributes of sending Daniel to LOS.

If there are boys who wish to row and the parents are providing some of the support, does the school not owe it to those pupils to enable them to participate in a sport that teaches them discipline, organisation, teamwork and resilience?

It would be a very sad day if we allowed this to happen. Rowing has been an enjoyable and constructive sport for both my sons.

Rowing should not be for the elite few - sport and opportunities for all please.

Scandelous behaviour from the governors to withdraw a sport the school can be proud of and from which the boys gain such enjoyment and sense or worth. We understand the need to balance budgets but when the parents have found money to run the club for the 2017/18 school year the decision made by governors smacks of pride and not good governance

Would be a great shame if this was to disappear from the LOS. Ali Boileau set this up a number of years ago with support from boys and parents and it was through his hard work and belief in the boys that they started to achieve results. The LOS rowers have since gone on to make a name for themselves and have competed and outshone schools that have been rowing for years. A terrific achievement by committed rowers .

This boat club is always on the rowing scene and it would be an incredible shame if they left, I've raced these guys and I'd hate to see them off the water.

Rowing means so much to the boys, this is a cruel and irrational decision.
