It's very sad that the only sport The London Oratory is offering to the boys now is rugby. It's such a waste for LOS to close their boat club when they have momentum - other state schools are trying their hardest to build up their boat clubs.

It will be a real loss to the depth of junior rowing if one of the few funded state school rowing programs is shut down.

Let's keep this sporting opportunity at the Oratory where it is for all and not just the few.

Worked at the school for many years and it is sad to see all the hard work the trainers and pupils put into this club go to waste.

Through rowing I discovered many aspects that helped me later on in my life. It is great for teaching teamwork, improving health and learning social skills. Please do not deny these state school pupils from taking part in this fantastic sport.

In terms of results rowing is possibly the most successful sport in the London Oratory. Why close this activity when it does not even cost the school anything to run?

The school should be ashamed of itself even contemplating this decision and now should have the good grace to accept it has made a mistake and confirm its intention to reinstate the programme forthwith.

The boys and girls at LOS need our support to win this campaign and keep the rowing teams so they can reach even higher levels than last few years.

Rowing is an excellent sport for young people. When rowing has been offered previously, and funds have been raised for it to continue, it makes no sense to close down the boat club.

All school sport should be supported especially when a team (or crew) is excelling!

Please do all you can to save this club. It's too valuable an asset to lose.

I have no connection with LOS but I strongly believe that rowing has made me who I am today. And it saddens me to hear that a generation of students will no longer have that opportunity

It would be a shame to loose any rowing club.

I know that this club has been very good for a friend's son. It is a good outlet for all the energy teenage boys have. It would be a shame to see such a tradition go.

It cannot be allowed to close ! Boys and staff have put in too much effort to let it go .
