In addition to the success LOS has had in recent years, the value that rowing adds to a school education is priceless.

It would be such a shame for these boys to lose their rowing program.

I can see how disappointed my son is regarding this rushed decision after all the team effort they have been making. It all seems very rushed and conveniently decided before the new headmaster starts in January.

state school rowing is crucial to the future of junior rowing but moreover, the hard work and effort that has gone into this BC cannot be undone.

Rowing has so many benefits--fitness, academic and discipline. We should have more rowing programmes in state funded schools, not less

My nephew attends the Oratory currently and several of my friends are old boys. All of them rowed and found it incredibly important and fun!

Ending rowing at the school would be a great tragedy. Having got involved in rowing at the age of 13 I can personally attest to the benefits the sport of rowing brings to youngsters, which I feel translate into excellence outsource of the sporting domain. Come on school governors, take a longer term view!

As someone who started rowing at a state school I am happy to sign the petition and hope the children at the Oratory School are allowed to continue rowing.

My son rowed at a state school and became a Rio Olympian last year. Rowing is such a good sport to teach commitment, dedication, teamwork, time management and lots of other life skills. Essential to keep it going, please don't let such a special resource be lost.

So many children have benefitted from rowing in last few years this would be a disgrace if this was not to continue and children would miss out on such a life changing experience.

As grandparents we have seen how the boys so enjoy this sport= well worth keeping it going.
