Please continue with rowing at LOS. My son's father died when he was just seven years old. Rowing wasn't just about sport for him. It provided him with strong male role models and everything I and his sister couldn't; it taught him what it means to be a man.

Rowing has benefited my children hugely in terms of dislimline, time management and team work. It's a friendly but competitive sport and never have I seen such high standards of sportsmanship as at rowing competitions. Even more important that state schools offer this high quality sport to raise heir students confidence and not make it the preserve of the rich.

Please don't cancel the boat club, it has been such a big part of the boys lives at school and really helped them to develop, they really enjoy the sport.

With the funding in place the rowing programme should be allowed to continue

Don't scrap or sideline this good clean sport. There is so much to be gained from this sport. The discipline, team building, camaraderie, respect etc is more than can be gained from other sports or even subjects

Rowing is one of the reasons we chose the school for our son. Rowing is not an elitist sport; are the same questions being asked of rugby? Fitness , teamwork and respect - how can this be seen as an optional extra ?

Please keep the rowing ongoing for these students as they work so hard and gain so much in their personal being from it. It's so important for their future, it keeps them disciplined and organised in so many ways.

Please let the boat club continue. Boys need sports to thrive and rowing at LOS is well established and an inspiration to other schools.

Governors need to understand rowing is not an elitist sport - it brings both genders together in a sports environment, improves fitness and enables people to compete at any level against like ability as opposed to the normal team games that clearly expose the lesser able

The rowing program is something the school can be proud of. I have seen how dramatic an improvement in fitness confidence and discipline the sport of rowing can offer pupils. It is an opportunity that should be available to to all that want to take part regardless of parental income. The LOSBC provides an example of how a state school can open up the sport for all and is exactly what British Rowing are trying to encourage.

Rowing is a huge opportunity for students and it would be so sad to deny the opportunity

A great sport. A wonderful opportunity for the students. Many successful rowers would like to represent their school. A great honour and one of Life's memories.
