The pool always has lots of people including children. What is with the Brandywine Y wanting to close pools. Lionville and now Kennett!

Save the community pool at Lionville YMCA! It’s needed for families to swim at a reasonable cost!

We have our 8 y/o in swimming classes for the first time, delayed due to covid, and we were excited to join the Y this summer for the outdoor pool. I hope it will stay open.

Save the pool! Not many places for kids to go to swim.

The pool should be kept open. Closing it will leave a lot of families without the community pool during the summer. As a stay at home mom we loved going to the y’s pool all summer long. U will have a lot of disappointed families in the area and I would guess a lot of money lost as people won’t join the y. That’s only a guess but I could see that happening

I hate the idea that because pickleball has become so popular that they are willing to sacrifice their pool. The pool is such a family fun activity. Please do not close the pool.

I do not support demolishing the Lionville YMCA pool to replace with pickle ball courts

Keep the pool open. Many local kids walk to this pool which is the only one in this area.

The closing of the pool seems to be an odd decision for a Y to make. It is such a great summer activity providing outdoor opportunity and exercise. It’s how I spent my summers growing up. Don’t take away such a wonderful opportunity.

It would be a terrible waste of a community resource to destroy this pool. The Y has traditionally been known for swimming and a neighborhood pool is needed here. The indoor pool can't comfortably accommodate daycamp, exercise classes and lap swimmers. There would be nothing for toddlers, and the fun slide would be gone as well - not a good trade for pickleball courts!
