My family and I just moved to Upper Uwchlan. With 3 young kids, this is the only reasonable place to swim in the local neighborhood. We’d also like to get swimming lessons here.

We would love this pool for our 2,3 and 4 year old children to use throughout the years. Please do not demolish it. Pickleball is a hobby for some, swimming is enjoyed by many. Please leave this pool for all of us here in the Lionville area to use. Thank you!

Our kids need a place to go during the summer. The pool is a place where families can nurture our community. Pickle ball will limit community building and leave the kids without their favorite summer time activity.

From the moment, I heard the Y’s plan to close the outdoor pool it made me very sad for all the families that flock to that pool in June, July and August (it should be open May and September too)
I played pickleball 4-7 time a week for 2+ hours each time. To demolish the pool to build pickleball courts that can only be played on for four hours a day is insane.
For example, if you build 3 courts, that would accommodate 12 players and each of those players would want to play at least an hour. Therefore, you would accommodate about 48 people a day playing pickleball. This pales in comparison to the hundreds of people that use the pool daily.

Please have both the outdoor pool and the pickle ball courts. Do not fill in that pool for this game, when courts are being built nearby.
