I have seen the difference the Lighthouse has made to the lives of many young people,. By closing it down you are not cutting costs but transferring them to a different department.

this is an amazing opportunity for children and young adults from all backgrounds to learn and play music alongside making friends and general advice from the staff. It is a family for a lot of people and would be a shame if it were to shut down as most children do not get a chance to explore these avenues in life.

Please keep the lighthouse open there is not much for the kids in Christchurch as it is, my son visits here at least twice a wk and without it him and his mates would be walking the streets. Please lets keep something in xch for the teenagers

I know this place well. It offers a vibrant and stimulating environment to help our young people develop into creative and responsible adults. Sheer madness to shut this down, we should be funding more facilities like this !

These places need to be saved, young people need a valuable place to go, if we get rid of this area where will they go in times of need or advice? We cant let them down it's already helped so many youngsters

Investing in youth services has a ROI. Not investing creates a future liability that is not accounted for. Councils either choose to ignore this fact, or simply don’t care.
