Would happily pay a usage fee of some kind to keep a Leisure Square open and operating!

A city of. Vero's status must have a public pool. We do have the resources to fund. Public recreation is vital.

It’s rediculous to close the pool. It is needed to keep our community in tact.

Removing Leisure Square to build a skate park is ridiculous. Leisure square serves all populations, where the skate Park would, basically, only serve a limited population. Fix the problems, don't take away the only public pool in Vero!

I agree with the petition statements that this pool is vital to the whole community and needs to be kept open for all to use.

Keep the pool. Whether personal. professional, national, or municipal--All budgets are choices. The City of Vero Beach chooses the things on which to spend tax resources. The city values the police force, fire department, city workers to mow, repair, maintain, lifeguards at the beach... I used the Leisure Square Pool extensively years ago when I served as a youth pastor at a local church years ago. My children swam there in many programs as well. Now, just returning to the area, I would like to use the pool. There are few alternatives for swimming within the city. Of course, the pool is a cost and will continue to be a cost. Is this a cost the people of Vero Beach would like to prioritize? I hope so.

To live in Florida and not have a pool in your town is really mind-boggling. Most cities in the north have pools and they are used only for 3 months of the year. Leisure Square is a year round resource for residents! Replacing a pool with a skate park caters to a very small group of people and excludes most of us, including seniors, small children and a large portion of those in between. Most people don't have backyard pools, as I'm guessing Vero's mayor does. Please do the right thing and keep our pool open.

This pool is beneficial to many people. The elderly can exercise there and my son had swim lessons there. There are camps.

We need to stop leasing or selling our city property. Leisure Square is a special place.
