This pool is used on a weekly basis by children and adults in our community!!

My children all learned to swim there. In Florida all children need to learn to swim. We should even have a swim team to compete with other communities. Many adults enjoy the pool for execise and it is a good place for people of all ages. To take the pool away would be a disservice to Vero Beach.

The city council obviously doesn’t have a clue what they are doing here and the hundreds of families of IR they will effect.

Barbara Helpling taught me how to swim in that pool in the early 1980's.. it has been a staple of our community for many, many years.. This pool just had restoration work done to it only three years ago.. it has many more years of use! I have no idea why someone would think there would be more skateboarders than swimmers. You're in the wrong area with that idea..

Vero Beach City Council. Closing the Leisure Square pool is a mistake. Don't do it. This serve a great number of people in Vero Beach. I don't believe the pool only brings in $25,000 per year. The amount that pool get used, it must be higher.

All of my children learned to swim here. Save the pool and do a better job of promoting and increasing programs there.

I was both shocked and highly disappointed that this was even on the agenda! Those in favor should be ashamed to even consider taking this resourse away from the citizens of Vero Beach! Build your skate park but leave the Leisure Square pool alone! Voting yourselves right out of Vero folks! You are now stepping on the toes of the elderly citizens, local students and our Special needs. This WILL be felt at the polls! Save Leisure Square Pool!!

There is a greater value to a community pool than only the revenue generated.

Public services are not intended to pay for themselves; they are for the quality of life of the community. We should keep the pool and look for a way to have a skate park. Not mutually exclusive.

Lots of people including the high school swim team use the pool. It should stay open.

Please please keep our community pool at Leisure Square. Our students use this pool for lessons, 5th grade fun day, swim teams and more. I use this pool to exercise weekly. Gifford is already full and so is North County.
