This is also the home pool for the Vero Beach High School Swim and Dive team. With over 50 students on the team, Gifford is too small to accommodate our team and North County is too far for the kids to get to. Many kids have graduated from our team and earned scholarships for swimming. It would be a shame for my daughters’ team to lose this pool.

Ten people drown in the U.S. every day. Swim lessons reduce the odds of childhood drowning by 88%. Leisure Square is the ONLY public pool in Vero Beach. How many lives are saved by skateboarding?

I support saving the pool for the benefit of all residents. Skate park is not needed and the one is Sebastian is grossly under used.
