If it was advertised more residents would be aware of the pool.

Keep this pool. Build the skate park else where. It is used by lot of people and a lot of kids learn to swim there.

This pool is not supposed to be a money maker just like no park ie south beach, humiston, Jaycee or the fountains just to name a few.

I do not want the pool to close. I certainly do not want the skate park going in at the field behind LS! This would cause a lot of distress to all of the people in the nursing home west of the field, and those living in elderly housing on the east side. Many programs who utilize the fields for soccer, flag football, rugby, and Frisbee games will lose that space. Not good. The old city nursery property is where it should go. The city should not pat for a match for the skate park! IMO, Mayor has a personal agenda!

This pool is an important asset for the community where many children learn to swim. We need this pool.

Can we get over our fear of raising taxes a tiny bit? Consistent strangulation cannot lead to prosperity

I am a member of Leisure Sq and swim frequently. Are their fund raising efforts underway anywhere?

Another idiotic move in the history of our VB CITY COUNCIL. The pool and it’s staff save lives!! Mostly little lives. Florida looses over a 100 children’s lives each year to drownings because they don’t know how to swim. As a former US Marine Water Safety Survival Instructor Trainer, I can tell you that this pool and our other two county pools are 3 of the most valuable assets in our community. Simply because they offer parents a venue where they can reliably have their children taught to swim by a professtaff in a safe environment.

I am a member of Friends After Diagnosis, a support group for women with cancer. We have a deep water aerobics program at Leisure Square pool. Our women love it and receive so many benefits from it. PLEASE consider all options to keep our pool open. THANK YOU.

I may live in Fort Pierce, but I taught in Indian River County for over 30 years. The pool is used by many residents and the VBHS swim team. Vero is known as a special place-let’s keep it that way. SAVE THE POOL!!!

I’m for the skatepark but not at the expense of taking away the pool. If the pool can’t pay for itself, which I find hard to believe, then I don’t believe a skatepark will be able to do so.

It's about community. Need to let people know where it is by better signage. It should read: City of Vero Beach Aquatics and Recreation Square. If people can't find/see us, they can't use us. It's amazing how many residents who have lived in Vero for years, didn't know it was a Pool and Recreation Center .. thought is was a retirement/ assisted living facility.
