Save the Lab School Pool

Please keep the pool open. It is a great resource for the community.

If it wasn't for alternative sports, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I learned my very first Kayak roll in the Lab School pool.

The pool is an important resource for the community, and seems to be very well utilized, please consider new ways to keep it open.

Please don't close the pool!

It would be a shame for our neighborhood to lose this create resource. My son swims there with Sea Devils and both he and his sister took lessons there as very small children.

I love this pool. I grew up around and in this pool. Swimming is a sport that helps every muscle in the body, therefore all the kids in the neighbor hood can enjoy and fun and good workout. All of the students that attend Lab School, benefit from it too, they use it for OT and occasionally for PE. Just to put it out there, YOU signed a contract with the neighborhood saying that you would build a pool to let everyone else it because there was no good one nearby, and there still isn't. I have had so many memories there, reconnecting with old friends, meeting new people and swimming with my peers. PLEASE KEEP THE POOL!!!!

Please keep this pool! It offers swimming opportunities to so many in the DC area. We will be lost without it.

Having access to this pool has been an incredible asset for my kids and me. Please keep the pool, and open to the community!

I participate in community swim and my kids are part of the Sea Devils swim program. Please keep your pool and continue to share it with the community.

This pool is a tremendous asset for the community year round and always busy when we visit. If usage is a concern, I would think it would be worth evaluating ways of increasing the pool's use before undergoing the substantial cost associated with renovation.

As communities like D.C. and Bethesda grow more dense we cannot afford to lose community pools like Lab pool! Because lab graciously opened its pool to the community my daughter was able to learn to swim in a safe place close to our house. The pool is s fantastic resource that enhances the neighborhood and makes Lab school a place we all want to support.

Please do not close the Lab pool! It is a tremendous asset to both the school and the surrounding community. We have had several kids and friends use the pool for SDS training - it is such a nice facility and well used before and after school, by SDS and senior swimming!

My son has been swimming at the school as part of SDS for two years. This is a wonderful pool and important resource for the community to swim all year round without weather impact. Why in the world would they want to take this away from the community and from the kids at the LAB school?? Swimming is an amazing sport, healthy life style choice and therapeutic in all respects. What an amazing resource! Surely this pool should be saved and this sports complex preserved !! Sports are vital part of children's lives. A theater already exists on campus and renovation is an option. Why would this not be the immediate choice particualarly after the school has just gone through an expansion where these considerations would have seemed an obvious part of the process. Keep the pool!!!
