Please no close the pool . Reconsider your position. The sport keep the kids safe of dangerous situations. Participation in sports by children and adolescents is associated with a range of documented physical, emotional, social, educational, and other benefits that can last into adulthood.
Regular physical activity benefits health in many ways.Sports participation is a significant predictor of young adults' participation. Organized sports activity helps children develop and improve cognitive skills. High school athletes are more likely than non-athletes to attend college. Female high school athletes are less likely to be sexually active, to use drugs, and to suffer from depression,
Etc.......

Renovating the existing theater is a far better use of resources vs shutting down a completely different venue that is critical to the school and local community.

Would kindly ask LS to reconsider considering the large support at this site (150+ swimmers every day of the week).

As a member of the community proximate to the Lab School (5300 block of MacArthur Blvd) and thus a DC taxpayer, there is a high value to having the Lab pool available to the community.

Please let the swimmers swim. Swimming is their life and swimming is their dream. Please do not shut the pool because it will shut down their dreams.

The pool offers valuable life lessons for our community's youth. Both downtown DC YMCA's closed - and existing pools are overcrowded offering limited potential for growth and competition.

The pool is a great resource; few others exist so it would be great to keep it.
