Pools are such a valuable community resource. It would be such a shame to loose one, especially one less than 20 years old.

It would be a shame to lose a pool which is used by the community year round.

Would it be appropriate if you build removable stage over the pool for the theater when you need to use it and the pool is not in use may be a solution. Please eliminate the pool for space that can found somewhere else where there is adequate parking and better seats for theater going folks. You will lose money building a theater in that space!

Swimming skills are so important for all children to learn. And providing opportunities for swim team competitions bolsters team spirit among students, and also provides a chance to participate in competitive sports for those kids who aren't geared for field sports. The athletic and therapeutic opportunities provided by a swimming pool are invaluable. Please, reconsider your decision.

This pool is fantastic and welcome years after years different schools to hold swim meets. The aquatic director is a very nice and competent person. Closing this pool will hurt a lot of children.

Even as a "competitor" with SDS, I realize how good it is for their swimmers to have this facility, and urge you to keep it open to them and all patrons

Please don't close your pool! Please try to work with SDS to find other solutions to whatever problem is causing you to close the pool.

It is hard enough for our swimmers to find a place to swim and SDS can't afford to loose such an important facility to its program.
Please reconsider your decision to shut down the SDS swim program at the Lab School. This will hurt the entire PVS community as well as the Lab School community. Thank you

The Lab School pool played a critical role in helping my children learn to swim (SDS clinic). They now participate in the sport and volunteer teaching underserved Washington area children how to swim.

As a parent of 5 children who grew up swimming in rec league or USA-S teams I can attest to the value of learning to swim at an early age and the long term benefits that organized swimming provides to our children long into their adulthood. We need to keep the pools we have in the metro area not lose them.

I am signing this petition on behalf of the many kids that use the pool. It is not only a good resource on behalf of the school but also on behalf of the community. We ask you to please reconsider and save the pool?
