Why a school with so high tuition will get rid of this beautiful pool! It is such an asset for a school! I don't understand.

I would happily use the pool more. there are hours its empty because community members are told its being reserved for group rentals/classes. There is REAL demand for the pool and people will pay for family memberships! My kids have learned to swim at this pool, I want to take triathlon training classes -- it's a real asset to the community as well as the kids!!!

Swimming is not just a sport, it's a survival skill. The pool is a draw for future enrollment and greater revenue for the school. This pool is critical to the lab school student body, the community and the lives of non-swimming children. Serious consideration should be given to this decision.

Please keep the Lab School pool open - I am a community swim member and use the pool often along with private swim lessons for my children.

Knowing how to swim is a life skill and should be taught to everyone! Swimming on a club team has so many benefits, I won't even enumerate them. The popularity of the sport is a testament to its benefits.

The Lab School pool was an integral part of my childhood and serves a need for exercise, learning, and bonding in any community. It would be a shame to lose it.

Lab has a responsibility to develop and nurture our students on all fronts. The pool/swim program and the theater program can coexist. You can do BOTH. #LABPOOLMATTERS

I know families whose student swimmers depend on this pool. The pool is a valuable community resource that needs to remain open.

The pool is underutilized because it is rarely open ,the fees have increased dramatically and it is almost impossible to find out how to join.

Swim is a tecognized national cmpetitive sport-please do not deny your students access in order to advance your theater program. If you already have a theater, focus your efforts on renovations instead !

Now more than ever kids and adults need exercise to enhance health and quality of life. Closing the pool would be a great loss to the well-being of students and the Palisades community.

I am a Lab School parent and I strongly object to shutting down the pool.
