This is an essential for the students and a connection to the community that Lab School has told us is integral to the identity of the school. Consider carefully your decision......it cannot be undone!

Please reconsider closing the pool. It is a valuable resource not only for student swimmers but the community as a whole. If it is underutilized, you might consider lengthening the opening hours on weekends.

"I was a long-time Foxhall neighbor of The Lab School of Washington. My great nephew is a current student there. I know the pool has been very beneficial for him and many of his peers with learning differences. I also know the pool has been a valued resource for neighboring communities. I hope Lab can find a way to maintain the pool."

My nephew has found an important source of pride and skill thanks to the school's pool. I hope the dedicated parents who put forth this effort will see the pool remain to serve the students. Thank you.

Pls keep the pool in place. The pool is a great center for the community and place for kids to spend their time. The community was under the impression that this pool would remain functioning after the changes.

As a Lab School parent, whose student is also on DC Wave, swimming has made a huge difference in my daughter's life. We need more pools not less.

Lets get to the bottom of this travesty. Who is the mysterious person offering $$$ for eliminating the pool? Can he/she be persuaded to assist the theater in some other location? Why has not more been done to make the pool financially viable? What undertakings for community benefit were accepted by the school in the tax and other financial benefits given to make the pool construction possible? This need not be a binary choice between pool and theater.

Please look carefully at the bond, or other financial assistance, given by the city when the pool was built. This development runs counter to the wish of the city and its people.

School pools are a commodity these days. How can the sport of swimming ever become something if pools aren't supported in the area
