My parents grew up in Kewaunee County and were married in the parsonage of this lovely old church. Architecturally significant buildings like this one add character to a community, and every effort should be made to save them.

Such a prominent and beautiful building and asset to the community. This church should be preserved for its historical value also. We drive by everytime we visit the city!

I've been in that church for a tour. Beautiful, historic building. It was being repaired by the owner when I pulled up for the tour. The building is in decent shape and should be allowed to stand. Why tear down a historic building when it can be fully restored. I'm from Chicago and think instead of tearing in down you should think of promoting it for it's Historic role in Kewaunee history. I told friends who go to Door County from Chicago to stop in Kewaunee to see that church. So in my humble opinion let it stand.

I think this owner needs a chance to achieve thier goals, and it IS in the best interest of Kewaunee to support this endeavor if it enriches the community.

I grew up in this church. Whole family is buried in cemetery. Always felt is very beautiful. Please do not destroy all of Kewaunees charm. So much lost already.

The city has already destroyed too many old buildings in Kewaunee. It’s time we fight back to preserve our heritage. I grew up across the street from this once Lutheran Church & played on the swings by it’s adjacent school. We can save this historic building if we stand together. Enough of destroying Kewaunee. Prayers for justice.

As a great-grandchild of Norman and Carrie Leyse, I hope and pray the mayor and city council will reconsider the demolition order, and keep this architectural treasure. Thank you.
