This would be a terrible loss. Kewaunee needs to work to restore and preserve its culture and heritage, not continually try to re invent it.

This historic Church is beautiful and I have personally been inside within the last few years. It is an amazing place with such rich history, not to mention the lovely stained glass windows, choir loft, finishings and plaster walls~ all packed within this stately building. How would a razed piece of empty land compete with a historic building like this? It doesn't make sense. The projected plans for this building make it an even greater future asset to Kewaunee, and the thought of demolishing this old Church along with its historical relevance is unfathomable. I am a frequent visitor to Kewaunee and cannot imagine the Church not being there! I hope the city officials of Kewaunee reconsider quickly!

If someone owns this building and it is proven stable by engineers and someone is actively trying to preserve a beautiful piece of history LEAVE IT ALONE. Why does the country want to erase history. History is proof of how we evolve. God save the church!

For over 40 years we have worked with wonderful citizens of Kewaunee to try and preserve the rich heritage of our community. Tearing down the church would be like placing the last Gold nail in your communities coffin. I’m afraid it might be too late for so much of what was Kewaunee’s Historical Gems, but this one must be treasured.

Historical buildings should be preserved and NEVER torn down! They are the history of a town! They 'tell stories' of long ago, that should be kept 'alive' and not 'torn down' and buried! If everybody decided it was better to tear down, and leave 'empty lots'...........pretty soon, there would be no town at all!!
